Hydrogen Sulphide
A case at the Community of Nacka.
A pumped sewer flow with an average flow of 6800 m3/d, from
Saltsjö-Boo to Saltsjöbaden smells badly when coming
up at Saltsjöbaden. H2S could be measured at more than
5 ppm. After dosing Bio Cultures for 4 weeks it had gone down
to 0,1 ppm, no smell problems any more. All fat at the well
has disappeared due to the bacterial activity. The daily dose
is 100 ml/day.

Sludge reduction
A case at the Community of Storfors.
A trial was done at a small works with an average flow of
300 m3/d. We dosed at the inlet with a sludge reduction of
40% and reduction in chemicals of 20%. As time goes by this
could be further reduced.
Biogas
A case at the Community of Uppsala.
Storvreta WWTP has an average flow of 2100 m3/d. The response
in gas production was very fast. During treatment the gas
production rose remarkably. After the 3rd day production of
gas had doubled. Gas pro-duction remained stable during Jan-March
period with a 40% increase.
