Oil contamination of 1000 gallons
Plaxton Greenhouse, Nr Beverley, Yorkshire |
| 1000 gallons of fuel was spilt from the tank shown in the
top photograph (right) and flowed through the greenhouse killing off a crop of cucumbers
and seeping through into the next greenhouse where tomatoes
were growing. Only one
small patch was contaminated. The bottom
photograph (right) shows the technique used to bio degrade the hydrocarbon in-situ.
Our technique caters for Bio Cultures to follow the pathway of the spillage. Digging
up interferes with this technique. |
